First Love.
For the past few months, my first love seems to have taken a back seat in my life. I was busy with other things - adjusting, writing, and whatnot and although I never forgot about Fashion, I wasn’t as obsessed with it as before.
I was too focused on other unhealthy things (him, relationships, love) that I almost forgot about my first love. That’s why I’m going back to Fashion. I’m going to be designing and sketching again. I’m going to be active in Lookbook again (I missed my style clique!). I’m back now.
This time the focus is on me and my career/future. No more bullshit, no more tears, no more taking crap.

My favourite movie.
Day 2 (or question 2 rather) of the 30 Day Tumblr Challenge.
I can’t decide what my favourite movie is! I swear. That’s why I posted pictures of both A Lot Like Love and The Butterfly Effect. Both are excellent movies and coincidentally, both stars Ashton Kutcher.
A Lot Like Love
I’ve tired to catch this flick on TV quite a few times. Operative term being tried. I’ve heard good reviews about it and just last December ‘09, I was finally able to watch it! We were in Whangamata at the bach we rented. I was with my friends and it was our second night, I think? We watched it after dinner then. I love everything about the movie. The characters, the songs (BON JOVI! Bon freaking Jovi!! Plus Mint Car by The Cure is one of my get happy songs! And Brighter Than Sunshine by Aqualung as theme song? Damn!), the actors, the plot, and the quotes. But more importantly, it taught me how true love really defies time and circumstances. It reaffirmed my belief in the saying that “If you’re meant to be, then you’re meant to be no matter what happens.” in a very realistic and modern way.
The Butterfly Effect
It was Ymam’s 18th birthday and it was around 3 am. We were in Javie’s condo, raiding his DVD collection. He drove us home then and because it was so late (or early) already that Bads and Ymam stayed with me at home. I remember we were in my room then, the three of us watching in my laptop screen. We were so speechless after watching it! I watched it again like a week after? With Javie this time. i cried again, and he was kind of speechless.
Since then I watched the movie a zillion more times. With Mum, with Yaya Den, and I even brought it when I vacationed with friends at Antipolo. I cried every single time. The ending is just.. wow. Plus playing Oasis’ Stop Crying Your Heart Out in the end just ironically made me cry some more.
I must say, Ashton Kutcher can really act. He gained my respect as an actor after watching this movie.
The Butterfly Effect
I think this movie is really underrated. One of the best movies of all time, for me! It moved me and I found myself crying in the end. A must watch, definitely!

While I have heaps and heaps of favourite songs, I would have to say Heaven by Bryan Adams is one of my top faves. It’s a classic! I swear I want this to play at my wedding. And there’s also one guy whom I associate this song with. Maybe he’s the closest I have to a first love. But either way, this song is truly special <3
